Then I couldnt understand my diagnosis. . #fibromyalgia is a diagnosis of exclusion. All this pain. So much pain that I couldn't leave my bed. I had to ask family to drive me to doctors appointments. I wanted real answers, with a real solutuon. I was so disappointed. . I never gave up. All those tears, and months...years of relentless headaches, fatigue, joint pain and vertigo. I've been to every specialist. Every one. I actually flew across the country to get diagnosed at the Cleveland Clinic. Oh yes I DID. . Don't get me wrong. Medicine can save lives. I appreciate all that๐Ÿ’œ, but somewhere along the way, we lost that. We treat the symptoms not the reason we have the symptons. . My #fibrowarriors!! Tell me what you're struggling with the most. For me, it was the fatigue. And the runner up, "you still dont feel good" comments.๐Ÿ˜ฃ. .

- Functional Friday โ€ข Why is rest & recovery so important? _______________ If you're like me and have grown to genuinely love working out, it can be hard to get in rest days. I find that on days I workout, my brain works so much better. I feel a little off on days that I don't move around. But, rest and recovery is so important to optimize your results. Bigger muscles are a result of microscopic muscle tears that happen from exercise that rebuild themselves into stronger and larger muscle! So your actual muscle building happens during rest. Your muscles also won't repair properly without the right nourishment and nutrition. _______________ Before I was educated, I thought that the more I trained, the better results I would get. This lead to overtraining and minimal results. Now, I make sure to give each big muscle group 48 hours of rest and take 1-2 days off from the gym. Instead, I take a walk outside! That way my body still gets to move and my mind is focused.
