- Six years is a long time to spend with the same hair. I've had my dreadlocks since I was fourteen, and I'm halfway to 22 years old now. They've become a massive part of my identity, my calling card above anything else. As most of you know, I'm not spiritual in any sense of the word, but with all that has happened in my life since I started growing these dreadlocks, I felt like a fresh start was in order, and keeping the same hair I've had for so many years around seemed counterintuitive to that goal. A weight has been physically and metaphorically lifted from my shoulders. Here's to a new me and new chapter of my life's journey. A massive, massive thank you to @thebarberologist for the removal and cleaning up of my noggin today, an equally massive thank you to @jakenjudah2015 for helping start my dreadlocks so many years ago, and so many thanks to @dezertpyrotdreadlocks for helping me multiple times along the way. . . #dreadlocks #hair #newme #newbeginnings #rip #haircut #mohawk
