Warm up well if you attempt this sequence. This will really open hips. Space in hips in the best way to maintain a healthy spine. Watch video closely. Start from a narrow downdog. Lifting heels and head, step forward with heel outside hand. Push floor away, squeeze hips together, press knee close to body and really extend back leg and knee. Aim to place elbows to floor. Don't hang on your arms, but push floor away, knee to body, belly button in, tail bone and back leg's sits bone in, extend back leg. Stay 5-10 breaths and return to hands and back to down dog. Stay 5-10 breaths in down dog and repeat other side. Now remember to be smart and practise wisely! Enjoy!
Instagram photo by lifeofa.yogagirl_Yo-gress....... = #yogaprogress 🙃 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Forgot to post my #transformationtuesday yesterday so here it is of a different kind! Being hyper flexible with long hamstrings and arms bending on my mat is fairly easy for me. But it wasn't until I solely gave up gym for yoga did I realise being a #bendyyogis isn't always best for the body. My muscles honestly have a mind of their own which sometimes causes stress to my skeletal system. It wasn't until I started working with @yoga_girl_london back in December did my #strength build and I became aware of my stretch not just flop around! @yoga_girl_london and I are opposites in our styles she is incredibly strong and I am incredibly flexible but just like yin and yang we work perfectly together 🙌🏼☯️💜 Hans teaching me to build strength in my practise not just to do a headstand 🙄but to help me literally keep my body upright supported and aligned. Here is my #downwarddog progress of naturally hyper extending vs yogi engaged #core 👌🏼👍🏼🙌🏼 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• She's an amazing yoga teacher 🌟who I'm not only lucky to have mentor me on my journey but as a friend and hopefully be with me on my wedding day this year so we can both do a #sdy pose together 😂🤸🏻‍♂️😘 !!! #friendshipgoals #yogateacher
