- 💯👊🏻👊🏻 12 Years ago I counted calories. I didn't know the importance of protein. I would starve my body. When I didn't see results fast enough I would lower my calories. Eventually I was skinny with very little muscle. I was what they call, skinny fat. 😆 There are so many people doing diets. They want a quick fix. But it is a temporary fix. More times than not they put the weight back on and then some. - Goals based training. Set out to do an 8km this morning but fell short. Poor nutrition last few days destroyed me 6km in. Today was my first full swim not kicking - using the pool buoy and leg strap (see ankle diagnosis) and managed my 7.3km in 2 hours and 3 minutes averaging 1:43 / 100mt. Also my first ever distance swim in a public pool sharing lanes. I laughed (in my head) as 6 swimmers came and went in my lane starting out passing me then slowly lap by lap me then passing each of them.
