- At some point in your life you start to realize that everything that happens in your life is a piece to your puzzle - a puzzle whose picture can only be seen after the experiences we go through. The question of why then begins to change from “why did this happen to me?” to if everything in this universe teaches me something “why would this have happened to me?” You see at first a heartbreak can feel like destruction of self-esteem but heartbreak is what truly shows you what is real about you. It shows you what is real about your wants, needs, preferences, desires, and will lead to self-esteem that is genuine. Self esteem that is built on something real - and eventually you will stop looking at what is wrong with you, and you’ll focus on what is RIGHT about you. You will see the things about you that are good, that have beauty, that have power, and that are magic about you. - When you begin to develop your focus like that the community of people and ideas that start to form around you will change. They will support you in new ways, and expand you into new directions. And then, that tension that anger that anxiety about not feeling whole will lose it’s grip. You’ll finally be able to breathe, exhale, relax, and begin to let go. You can begin to heal. Now I believe that love is the greatest gift that there is and to be in love so completely that in the very breathe of another person you discover yourself. In their eyes you anchor your soul, if you have that - it’s a miracle. But the price we pay to experience it is the excruciating agony about having it. The price we pay to have it is to watch it dissolve and to be lost. It may be painful, but is not a nail in the coffin. It’s not the end of who you are. The real gift of having love and losing it is hidden. A heartbreak is not the end of all that you are, it’s the beginning.
