Instagram photo by gracechristiannFor as long as I can remember, all I have ever wanted, was to be a mom. Especially a mom of boys. I wanted to pass on my love of sports, cheer on my boy, coach his team, be "that mom" in the stands thats yelling, cheering, and embarrassing myself and kids. Lol. I remember when I was in kindergarten, the teacher gave us an assignment to draw a picture of what we wanted to be when we grew up. I remember vividly sitting there in my chair crying because I didn't know what to draw. Everyone was drawing firefighters or doctors but I didn't want any of that. The teacher came over to me and asked why I was crying and what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said nothing.. I just wanted to be a mommy. I was crying because I didn't think that was a real job (lol.) My kind teacher said to me, "well that's perfectly ok sweetie, thats called a housewife!" So she helped me draw a picture of a house with lots of kids in the yard. I may not have the "wife" label yet, and I do now have dreams of a career, but my point is, I knew from a very young age that my main passion in life was to be a mom and to be a great one. I grew up like most girls picking out baby names and daydreaming about my future kids. One of those dreams came true yesterday and, even though it didn't go as planned, it was still very special to be able to coach my sweet boy's first soccer game and to see him wear my old number.. AND to have @paigeelizabethsmith there with me, just like we had always planned. ❀ It was a good day. I love being Liam's mom. I love watching him grow up. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Hopefully, as the season goes on, my sweet and very shy little boy will open up and kick the ball as hard as he can! But even if that doesn't happen, I will still be the proudest mom, because I have an amazing son, just like I always dreamed of. πŸ’™ And who knows, maybe sports won't be his thing? Maybe he will have a passion for music like his Papa and my cousins. Music does run in my family! Either way, I can't wait to see what his beautiful future holds, and to support him every step of the way. ❀ #momlife #sappypost #boymom #dreamcometrue
