- ‼️SEATED DUMBBELL SHOULDER PRESS‼️ - How To Perform: •Starting Position: Sit with feet firmly on the ground, the knees at about 90 degrees, and a natural arch in the back. Bring the arms up and out to the side with the upper arms parallel to the floor and elbows flexed. •Concentric Phase: Press the arms up and over the head until the elbows are extended directly over the shoulders. Attempt to elevate the shoulder blades as they rotate upward while maintaining proper posture. •Eccentric Phase: Lower the weight back to the starting position while maintaining posture. •Tips: Keep the dumbbells directly over your shoulders to keep tension over that area, as that is the area you are trying to develop. Avoid touching the dumbbells together at the top of the movement as this takes the tension off of the shoulders.
