Instagram photo by chinmayayogaLike a child's excitement & happiness took me over when this beautiful harmonium arrived a few days back. I have for some time been longing to learn how to play to be able to share this lovely sound of instrument on our bahjans. Finding the tunes being healing and grounding.
It arrived just in right time for the Ganesha puja the coming day. As so many things, actually all, these last months have had 'perfect timing'. That feeling of flow when you let go all to universe and transforming into the receiver instead of the doer or controller.
Swg witnessed my joy - in the center of the eye 😂- and said if I learn to play something we'll keep the harmonium in the Ganesha puja and my hands have the opportunity to be the first to play it in the presence of God. I started practicing immediately on the ashram harmonium (the new one not to be played before the puja) & with help from my yoga sister VaniDevi my fingers started this journey. The next morning was puja day and I got all nervous feeling not completely prepared, feeling a bit uncertain about all the key notes, worried if I would screw up - and that in front of the Gods - I was about to quit. Simultaneously I didn't want to miss this unique opportunity that Swg were giving me. I heard my own worlds teaching, "just enjoy the journey and allow yourself to grow along the way, be playful and have fun". Nothing else to do, so I faced my fear, sat down next to Sita-ma and played Ganesha caranam everyone singing along - even the butterflies inside 🦋. No, it wasn't 💯 on all keys and tunes but YES I learned and I enjoyed. Such powerful energy and I could literally feel how much I grew in that exact moment. Giggles seriously came out when I realized I wasn't spot on understanding there's mistakes in the beginning and that's the great teachings. Having the harmonium blessed and powered with the energy the presence of these tantric rituals for the God aspects brings is in itself a blessing. Thank you Swg's for giving me and everyone who will listen to the sound of our harmonium this opportunity. #harmonium #harmony #blessing #yogateacher #yoga #bahjans #sivananda #yogalife #yogalifestyle #ibreaththankstoyoga #yogajourney
