(And yes, you're coming too @sheshredsmountainadventures and @kael.kaed) Can't wait to hook into some river hogs, and meet some locals. 😉 #tbt #whistler #sledding #canada #bc #prom • #winter #backcountry #beautiful #outdoorwomen #athlete #colorado #flyfishing #travel #birthday #girls #outdoors #mylife #bestfriends #mountains #country #wanderlust #wilderness #mountaingirls #babes #happy #healthy #adventure #explore

- #tbt cause any day in September is a blessed one. To experience amazing things you have to put yourself in amazing places. We leave something of ourselves behind when we leave a place that's extraordinary... we stay there, even though we go away and there are things in us, that we can only find again by going back there... Take us back to the back country where our souls roam free and we feel alive with passion. Where dreams come true and memories are burned into us like tattoos.

- Go west, young woman. - Actually, I was going north when I took this but that's fine. This photo conveys the emotion I need for this post, I think. - So, y'all thought I traveled to Far West Texas a lot as it was? Well, my trips are probably about to get even more frequent. Today, I was officially offered and officially accepted the role of Texas State Park Ambassador to Big Bend Ranch State Park. I was going to wait a while to say something but I can't, I'm far too excited. - What does this mean? A lot of things. First, this is a volunteer opportunity and I couldn't be happier to represent Texas' largest state park in what is, without a doubt, my favorite part of Texas. Y'all knew that part already though. My job as an ambassador won't start until July and will then last for four to six months, during which I'll work to spread the word and the beauty of the park (and all Texas State Parks) digitally via social media, work hands-on within the park on various projects that will be determined, and via face-to-face community outreach. - What does this mean in regard to other aspects of my life? Not sure yet! I'm still working that out. What I do know though is that in my 30 years, I have passed on many things, many opportunities, because they were something of a risk or because they weren't the "norm". But, this, whether it leads to bigger things within Texas Parks and Wildlife, within Big Bend, within West Texas, or not, is one I refuse to pass up. I know in my gut that this is what's right for me right now and whatever comes next, well, it will.
