- “I was always the loner. The one who no one would listen to. But when my classmates needed some one to talk to, they turn to my direction. . Whenever I needed a listening ear, I'll be turn down or cut through instantly. I get the stares which spells out "you're not important" from the people whom I've tried to interact with. . Some time later, I began observing what kind of person does people love hanging out with. I began learning behaviours and applying them for interaction. It actually works and slowly I gained more friends and I never felt alone since. . I kept picking up several behaviours from people again and again. I wanted to have a big circle of friends as having a company of friends made me feel happy and wanted. . 2 years later, Life lessons in school, a question strucked me; "Do you know who you are?" Almost anyone can answer that almost immediately. For me, It was the most difficult question I have ever tried to answer. For 2 years I have been somebody else and I couldnt figure out who I truly am. I've spent days isolating myself and rediscovering myself. I took me 3 years to finally be normal; be me. . It was World Mental Health Day on Tuesday so loads of people have been talking about mental health this week, which is SO good. But, just because a new week starts tomorrow it doesn’t mean that we should stop talking about mental health. I will continue to talk about mental health, something that everyone has whether it’s good, not so good or bad, because I want my nephews, nieces and my future children to feel so much more comfortable and confident talking about their mental health, than was the case when I was a child, a teenager and even a young adult. But, just because a new week starts tomorrow it doesn’t mean that we should stop talking about mental health.
