- Time for mid-month introductions. My name is Melissa and I’m powered by people (#extrovert) and essential oils. Most days you’ll find me connecting with and supporting other adoptive mamas with a mug of tea in my hands. My friends describe our life as "bonkers-pants" (#directquote), my clients describe me as knowledgeable and authentic, and I describe myself as someone who works hard at what I love (#nofear)...and occasionally splurges on inspirational romance novels. Extra points if they're set in the early midwest. Think #drquinn in a book. So tell me, who are you? P.S. If you want to go deep with me right away, check out my blog post on Charlottesville. (Blog link in bio). #corkboardblog

- ::Feature Friday :: Every Friday I feature adoption related information. This week I'm advocating for Ben. Ben was born in December 2010 and diagnosed with post-operative meningocele. The orphanage reports that the meningocele does not affect him and Ben continues to grow as a healthy, young boy with normal intelligence. Ben is said to be curious, smart, friendly, and helpful. For more info or to request his file for review please follow this link and use password: waiting https://waitingchildinfo.com/2010/12/01/ben/ Ben is waiting to be chosen for adoption through Cradle of Hope.

- Ever wonder "why" I chose to join SeneGence?πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ ..... in the beginning I had no desire to sell, I just wanted a discount for my sisters, Mom πŸ‘πŸ‘―πŸ‘ and I because I was obsessed with the products. . . . .Then, I realized that every girl who walks on the earth needs to spend her hard earned πŸ’° on makeup that actually "Stays Put" πŸ‘ŠπŸ»and if I worked hard and actually turned it into a stay at home job I could make $$$ to help pay off an adoption loan for my baby and allow us to have a little more financial freedom to bring adventure and opportunity to my miracle girls. One year later, this stay at home business is going strong and I just want to say THANK YOU to all you sweet and dear friends and family who have/do support me. It has given me a fun outlet in my life, allowed me to build my own self confidence as well as built amazing friendships. I love you and thank you!! I have the best support team. I know you can buy your beauty products from many different people and places and it makes me feel so happy and thankful you chose to buy from me. Xoxo, M

- We had a mini photo shoot this morning with my two favorite boys. I sit and look at how we got to this point in our world. We have poisoned our kids. I think it's infuriating the hate that children are taught from such an early age. My boys...I love how different they are. One chocolate and one tan. One loud and one (so far) mild mannered. They will be taught to treat everyone with respect no matter their color or religious beliefs. To stand up for what they believe, To stand up for those who are being treated unfairly. They will not be the ones standing on the side lines taking the video for YouTube or fb when someone's being bullied...they will be standing up for that person. I will raise my boys to be men... not cowards. To stand bold for God. #bebold #toomuchhate #raisingmyboystobemenofGod #boymom #standstrong #diversityisbeautiful #adoptionmom #adoptivemom #adoption #christianity #stopposioningourkids #ESFπŸ’™ #ElijahSF #ELI_IS_ONE #josiahwf #photoshoot #worththewait #babybrother #babybro #bigbrother #raisingmen

- Are you a screaming mom like I was? Do you feel guilty about that? I've two quick thoughts that might help you handle this yelling habit a little better. Did you know that God used shouting to accomplish some significant victories in the Bible? Take a look at Joshua 6, where the Israelites took the city of Jericho. After marching around the city once a day for six days, and then seven times on the seventh day, the priests blew their trumpets and the men shouted. The results: Jericho's walls came a-tumblin' down. Something interesting about Jericho is that the city was to never be rebuilt. Take away: shouting can be destructive, and sometimes it's best to not repair the damage. Another example of God-ordered screaming is found in Judges 7. This is when Gideon and his whittled-down army of 300, blared their trumpets, smashed their jars, raised their torches and shouted, "For the Lord and for Gideon!" As a result the Midian army was soundly defeated. Now don't hear me giving blanket permission to scream at our kids. But let me ask a question. In these two stories, who were the men yelling at? Not their own people. In fact, I'm not sure they were yelling at their enemies either. Looks to me like they were shouting at God. Shouting praises and declaring their devotion. Second take away: The next time you feel like screaming, try shouting something like, "Lord, this is for you!" Or, "Hallelujah!" "Praise God!" What kind of walls might you see crumble to the ground? How quickly might those intimidating demons flee your scene? Photo by Liz Bridges on Unsplash

- Ya think these two look a little bit alike? πŸ˜‰ . James is our oldest child and he'll be 26 next month. When we met, he was 11 and was like a mini-adult. At 16 he was diagnosed with Aspergers and so many of his amazing quirks came into focus and we all learned as much as we could to love him and nurture him the best way possible. . He is crazy super smart and went away to culinary school in another state right after high school. I love having a chef for a son πŸ‘ŒπŸ» . He is back in college now finishing up a computer science degree. He works full time, has an amazing work ethic, and lives with a few roommates. He is a joy to know and has a huge heart for his family. . I'm so proud of him and I'm so excited to have him visiting us here in AZ this weekend! We're gonna have so much fun! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ β€’ β€’ β€’ β€’ β€’ #yourcoachmeg #livefullyalive #boldbraveyou #youbelong #graceupongrace #adoptivemom #stayinspired #beherenow #sheismagic #inspiremyinstagram #awakethesoul #hearmyheart #soulsparks #lifepurposecoach #vibrantlife #livewithpurpose #livetothrive #authenticliving #authenticself #myauthenticlife #aspergers #aspiemom #radgirlscollective #dearwomanmovement #lifecoachforwomen #bepresent #aspie #happymama
